Adultification of minors on social networks in BraziL

Social networks reflect a process of paradigmatic changes, demanding scientific responses that truly serve collective interests. This study emerges in order to understand the current dynamics of the adultification of minors, understanding the exposure of children and adolescents on the internet, specifically on social networks. With the advent of Law nº 15.211/2025, also known as the Felca Law, a major milestone in Brazilian society is implemented: the Digital Statute of Children and Adolescents. Therefore, this research aims to understand this new legal framework, as well as to shed light on combating behavioral, aesthetic, and economic standards imposed on minors. Given the above, a qualitative methodology is used, through normative analysis and bibliographic review anchored in digital governance and the protection of the most vulnerable. The results presented indicate progress in discussions about digital platforms and responsibilities for the comprehensive protection of minors. It concludes that the legislative field is not exhaustive, requiring the implementation of strategies by the State, such as expanding legal regulation and promoting greater digital education for its population.
